A Thanksgiving dinner is not complete without cranberry sauce. Indulging in the jellied cranberry sauce that comes from the can is no longer an option as I live my new keto lifestyle.
This cranberry recipe is the better option and won’t disappoint. It will add that extra element of sweet to complement all those other savory dishes that make up our Thanksgiving meal.

Ingredients
12 oz bag fresh cranberries
1 cup powdered monkfruit sugar
¾ cup water
1 tsp orange peel
½ tsp vanilla extract
3 drops orange extract
3 drops liquid stevia
Instructions
Combine cranberries, water, monkfruit and orange peel into a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until cranberries start to pop and form a sauce
Remove from heat, add vanilla extract
With an emulsion blender or hand blender break up more of the cranberries to create more sauce
Add orange extract and drops of stevia
Notes
The first time I tried this recipe I used Swerve powdered sugar. After eating the cranberries then drinking water it left a bitter after taste in my mouth. With the monkfruit there was no bitter after taste but taste tasting the cranberries while they cooked confused my taste buds and it was difficult to discern other flavors so I would limit how much taste tasting you do.
