Blackberry Basil Gin Fizz

blackberry basil gin fizz



2 ounces dry gin
1 ounce fresh lime juice (1 large lime)
1 ½ ounce simple syrup
11 Blackberries (4 for the cocktail, 5 cut into small pieces for the ice tray and 1 for garnish)
2 fresh basil leaves plus a sprig for garnish
4-6 ounces Club soda
Lime wedge for garnish


  • Fill a low ball glass with the blackberry basil ice cubes
  • Combine the gin, lime juice, simple syrup, blackberries, and basil in a cocktail shaker
  • Muddle until the fruit is crushed and the basil has released its juices
  • Pour the contents from the shaker into the glass and top with club soda
  • Garnish with a wedge of lime, a blackberry and a sprig of basil
